The Corvette legend was still in its infancy in 1955, but its unique styling still set it apart, and Chevrolet changed very little of it from the previous year. The big news for the year was the availability of a V-8 engine, which also came with performance numbers like 0-60 in 8.7 seconds. The V-8 powered machines also came with a “V” in its VIN.
