The muscle car movement was almost redlining in '68, and Plymouth bulked up the Barracuda with the availability of four new engine options. Buyers who dared to dream past the basic 225 cid. six or 318 V-8 could also power-up to a 340 or 383 V-8, and a special 383-S engine was a Barracuda exclusive. Available as a hardtop or fastback couple, as well as a convertible, more than 44,000 Barracudas were reeled in.
