Coca-Cola advertised “Help yourself to refreshment” in 1950, and Chevy Panel trucks were among the delivery vehicles used by the Coke sales force, who were faced with the unenviable task of attempting to keep store shelves full of America’s favorite liquid refreshment. While not overly fast, sometimes finding 50 mph to be more than a challenge, their reliability was legendary.

The ‘55 Chevy Panel Delivery was popular not only because it offered a vast cargo area, but also because with the lengthy panel sides companies had all kinds of prime advertising space with which they could create rolling billboards for their business.

This model delivers the goods with a black hood and front fenders, and a yellow body rich with Coke deco. Both doors display “Coca-Cola Bottling Co.” graphics, while a long red “Drink Coca-Cola, Delicious, Refreshing” spans the cargo area in the familiar Coca-Cola script.
