Lightning storm forecast for Dyersville, IA Sept. 12-13

Lightning will light up the eastern Iowa skies for two days straight come September, as JL fans and fanatics from far and wide converge at the intersections of Highways 136 and 20 at the RC2 Outlet Store for Lightning Fest 2008.

Repeated strikes are already predicted and you will be absolutely electrified with the new product offerings and themes on display in the RC2 Johnny Lightning showroom. You can also help us celebrate four decades of die-cast excellence as we show off our newest tools and releases. Tom Zahorsky and the JL Team are stoked to be on-hand to answer your questions and showcase what’s new for 2009. While you’re here you’re also invited to help yourself to another slice of Iowa and see the industry-leading ERTL John Deere product line, innovative care and feeding products from The First Years brand, as well as the educational fun of the Learning Curve brand.

The excitement spills outside with the introduction for the JLX radio-controlled car as it is subjected to the challenges of the JL stunt exhibit. Still not hot enough for ya? Then we’ll add a Johnny Lightning car show , an exhibitor show where you can buy, sell and trade collectibles, and the sale at the RC2 Outlet Store, will score a direct hit, with great JL products at great prices. There will also be daily raffles for JL product, T-shirts and a few extremely rare collectibles.

Oh, did we mention the limited-edition Lightning Fest car—a brilliant red 2000 Dodge Viper GTS, complete with Lightning Fest logos? This bad boy brings it with a black interior, black rims with chrome trim rings, and includes a certificate of authenticity that the car is 1 of just 200.
